13.	To Establish an Appointments Sub-Committee PDF 214 KB To establish a General Purposes Appointments Sub-Committee to appoint the Chief Executive. Minutes: The Head of legal and Democratic Services introduced the report which set out that the Chief Executive Roger Tetstall had given notice of his resignation and therefore a recruitment process to appoint a new Chief Executive must be undertaken. The Council’s Constitution required the establishment of a General Purposes Appointments Sub-Committee to consider a new appointment to the position of Chief Executive ahead of a recommendation to full Council. Resolved: 1. That five members of the General Purposes Committee be appointed to an Appointments Sub-Committee to consider the appointment of a Chief Executive. 2. That Councillors Adams-King, A Dowden, Cooper, Hamilton, and P North be appointed to the Appointments Sub-Committee for the purposes of considering the appointment of a Chief Executive.
